Three Oklahoma Library Friends groups will each win $750 in honor of their activities celebrating National Friends of Libraries Week, October 18–24, 2026.
Categories:
Two awards for Friends group in a city or town with a population of less than 10,000.
One award for a Friends group in a city or town with a population in excess of 10,000.
Please provide the following information:
INSTRUCTIONS
- To compete for the awards, a Friends group must have paid FOLIO membership dues for 2026-2027.
- Entries must provide a one to two page narrative describing the activities and efforts used to promote National Friends of Libraries Week, October 18-24, 2026.
- Supporting materials (pictures, videos, newspaper or magazine articles, promotional items) may be included. Items cannot be returned.
- Your entry must include this form completed in full. All entries and enclosures may be used by FOLIO in exhibits, or may be published in our newsletter, or other FOLIO publications.
Entries will be judged on the following criteria:
- Creativity and innovation
- Involvement of Friends, library staff, and other stakeholders
- Promotion of Friends group to your patrons, and your community.
Entries must be received no later than 10:00pm, November 13, 2026.
Awards will be announced in December.
