Library Lovers' Month

National Library Lovers Month is a month-long celebration dedicated to honoring libraries, librarians, and book lovers. It takes place across the entire month of February. (Valentine's Day is also Library Lovers' Day!)

Actionable Ways to Participate
  • Renew your card: Sign up for a new library card or renew an expired one.
  • Borrow digital media: Check out e-books, audiobooks, or streaming media.
  • Donate materials: Give gently used books to your local "Friends of the Library" group, if they collect them (many do!).
  • Write thank-you notes: Leave a message of gratitude for your local library staff.
